Just sat down to do a quick Google-search on my name. I do this at times just to get a feeling of what is out there, what is being picked up and what is STILL out there.

Today I happened to notice an article I wrote back in 1999, where I in detail describe how companies can set-up email but disable users to send Internet email!? Yes, that may seem weird to all of us today but this was a big company concern some ten years ago. Much the same way we see corporations being all scared of social media today, blocking off Twitter and Facebook.

Baring this perspective in mind I can see us all looking back at 2010 wondering why we thought social media was scary and didn’t see the obvious integration into the daily business. Who can today imagine doing business without the use of email? Social media will most likely be just as a natural part of future business as email is today.
Just saying…
